A6 flyer printing

An A6 flyer measures 105 × 148 mm, a quarter of an A4 sheet. It slips into a jacket pocket, a parcel or a C6 envelope, which makes it the size for vouchers, invitations, simple loyalty cards and inserts. You can open the classic flyer configurator at A6, from 10 copies, with the price in CHF always in view.

A word on the starting set-up: A6 opens with 90 g matt coated paper. That gives a light handbill, for instance to tuck into a club newsletter. If you want your A6 to feel like a card in the hand, choose a much heavier paper, as explained further down.

Voucher, invitation, insert: what goes on the front and back

On such a small surface, every centimetre counts, so plan both sides together:

At what paper weight does A6 feel like a card?

An A6 is picked up, turned over and often kept. The paper weight decides whether it feels like a slip or a card. For A6 the configurator goes up to 500 g:

• 90 to 130 g matt coated or 100 to 130 g glossy coated: a light sheet, right for inserts in large runs;
• 170 and 250 g coated: noticeably firmer, good for a parcel insert or a thank-you card;
• 300 g matt or glossy coated, 400 g matt coated: the card feel for vouchers and invitations;
• 500 g matt coated, also FSC®, or 500 g white offset: a very stiff card that hardly bends.

Stamp, write, redeem: the back of the card

On a loyalty card or voucher, the back does real work: that is where the stamp goes and where the amount or date is written by hand. Uncoated white offset, for example at 250 or 350 g, suits this well, because ink and stamps hold on it. Any finish then belongs on the front only: Soft-Feel on the front for the velvety touch of an invitation, a matt bio-film on the front, or glossy UV varnish on the front to make a voucher's image shine. The configurator shows which of these go with your paper.

The default print is 4/4, full colour on both sides, leaving room for terms, a map or a QR code. If the back stays free for a handwritten thank-you card, 4/0, colour on the front only, is enough.

Small surface: set up and test your file

Create the file at the final size of 105 × 148 mm, which is 1240 × 1748 pixels at 300 dpi. The bleed area and safety margin are shown in the flyer print templates, in German and French, which you can also download from the product page; the printing glossary defines final size and other trade terms.

At 10.5 cm wide, text quickly looks smaller than on screen. Print your draft at 100 % on an A4 sheet and cut it to size: you will see whether a voucher's small print stays legible and whether the QR code scans with a smartphone. Before production, your file is checked by us as well.
